Meet the team behind CYO
I’ve had the pleasure of working in the insurance world in various guises since arriving in Australia in 2000. My career path has offered me the opportunity to grow my skills in claims, underwriting, eBusiness and intermediated distribution within three of the top 5 Australian insurers. Under the CYLO brand, I will draw upon these skills as a Business Development Underwriter, operating within a great team that aims to sustainably grow a competitive cyber offering.
At CGU, I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to build relationships with our broker partners across cluster groups and networks of all sizes for the past six years. My territory encompassed the Sydney metropolitan region all the way to regional NSW, visiting brokers in Tenterfield, Condobolin, Wagga Wagga and everywhere in between across this beautiful country of ours. Now at CYLO, I’m looking forward to connecting with old and new faces across NSW and QLD to share our new cyber offering with you.
We’re targeting small businesses with an annual turnover of less than $10M. CYLOs strategic approach to cyber risk management is the foundation of how we have developed our product. Combining cyber security insight, cyber insurance know-how and cyber incident response services, we enable small businesses to better identify their cyber risk and reduce the chances of experiencing a cyber-attack as well as recovering from the damage caused by it.

I come from a background in finance and startups. I joined the CYLO team in 2022 to help bring the company from concept to reality! Since joining CYLO, I've worked on the development of our direct and intermediated platform while supporting the launch of the CYLO proposition to the New Zealand and Australian markets. Going forward, my focus will be on growing our footprint in the Cyber market while driving the evolution of our cyber product.
My key strengths stem from my background in startups and finance. My ability to be multi-faceted across technology, product, and growth planning allows me to help CYLO build a strong proposition and set up our customers to be CyberStrong.
The CYLO offering is built off our 3 R's: Resist, Respond, Recover. This means that we can support our customers with a proactive and protected approach. With UpGuard, we're able to identify our customers vulnerabilities which, together with our insurance cover, we can get them back up on their feet should a cyber incident occur.

With nearly three decades of experience in large corporates specialising in financial lines and liability underwriting, portfolio management, and strategy, I was given the opportunity to help create an Insurtech start up, focussed on the ever-evolving cyber insurance market. I accepted the role of Chief Underwriting Officer at the start of 2023 and set out to deliver a product that was both competitive and price sensitive to a market segment that is increasingly realising the importance of this cover. It’s been a brilliant experience to date, and I can’t wait for the next chapter!

This is especially the case for SMEs and first-time buyers. Our experience and proposition is tailor-made to help in this space and our team is here to assist.
Whilst insurance is at the heart of our offering, our dynamic mantra of “Resist, Respond, and Recover“ sets us apart. It helps small businesses to better identity their cyber risk and minimise the chances of experiencing an attack as well as the damage caused by it. It is very much risk-management led and supported by a leading cyber incident response and customisable insurance plans.

We understand that time and resources are precious. However, this cannot diminish the level of support, speed of service, and quality of the client’s product experience. This is especially the case for SMEs. So, we have developed a risk-informed underwriting proposition that is delivered by our own digital quote and bind platform. It involves a simple onboarding process and allows brokers direct access to online referrals and integrated risk ratings and monitoring.
